Leading Coversure franchisee and owner of Coversure Hull, Coversure Grantham, and Coversure North Lincs, Andy Price, has opened a new office, Coversure Peterborough. Conveniently located at the Brightfield Business Hub, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, the new office will be run by Andy’s experienced team, who will offer local businesses the manufacturing, business, shop, truck and fleet insurance help they need.
To mark this latest milestone in Coversure’s history, we caught up with Andy to find out more about his new office and his plans.
Congratulations on the new office, Andy. So, why Peterborough?
Thanks! We’re all very excited about it. Peterborough is a natural fit for us. It has the businesses and sectors we’re used to operating in, things like fleet, haulage, public liability and plant insurance, and there aren’t many independent insurance brokers left in Peterborough.
You’re opening on a business park, was that to make it easier for your clients?
Yes, most of our business is business-to-business, so it makes sense to be near them. Ours is a business built on service and we’re always happy to go and see clients or for them to come to us. Brightfield Business Hub works brilliantly as it avoids the city centre traffic and we’ll be surrounded by business opportunities.
Who will be running Coversure Peterborough?
Dan Davis Cert. CII will be managing the office. Dan’s been with me for several years, and he knows sectors like commercial vehicle insurance, fleet insurance, and liability like the back of his hand. He’s been running the Grantham office, which has a feefo score of 4.9 and is rated as ‘Exceptional’, so clients will be in great hands.

I can see this becoming my biggest office – just don’t tell the guys at Coversure Hull that!
As the digital revolution continues to change our lives, is the demand for a personal insurance service diminishing?
I think it depends on what type of policy you’re looking for. We don’t see many of our personal lines customers – people who have car or home insurance with us – but when it comes to business or commercial insurance, it’s getting ever more important. Fleet insurance, for example, can be really complicated and fleet managers need someone who understands their needs if they’re to get the cover they need. Similarly, a lot of small businesses are struggling to find affordable (any) professional indemnity insurance as insurers’ appetites have reduced. That’s where you need the help of an independent insurance broker like us to find you cover. I can’t speak for the whole industry, but our business has never been busier which is one of the reasons I’ve opened Coversure Peterborough, as the potential for growth is huge.
The commercial insurance sector has changed beyond recognition over the last decade, with technological advances and new risks coming through. What are the biggest changes you’ve seen?
Cyber-attacks have become one of the biggest threats that businesses face. I read in the news that there was an average of 21,315 cyber-attacks each day in 2024, with 81% of those targeting small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Cyber insurance doesn’t cost a lot, but it gives a lot of protection, so it’s not surprising that we’re seeing requests for cyber insurance quotes rise. In terms of fleets, it’s all about switching to electric vehicles and that can have a knock-on effect on fleet insurance quotes. The other one is professional indemnity insurance. In an AI world where regulation is getting more complex, insurers are becoming much stricter about who they’ll offer cover to and that’s made it much harder for SMEs to get cover. We do a lot of PI insurance for small businesses, so we’re well-placed to help.
So, what’s next for you? Will you look to open a fifth Coversure office?
We’re staying at three for now. The lease on the Grantham office has expired, so we’re moving that business to Peterborough. Our customers know, and as the vast majority of them don’t visit the office,e they know they’ll enjoy the same great service. Coversure Peterborough will keep us all busy over the next few years. There’s a great opportunity here and we’re all raring to go.
