Unoccupied House Insurance, Unoccupied Property Insurance & Unoccupied Buildings Insurance
Finding unoccupied home insurance can be difficult. A large majority of insurers will not even offer insurance cover for vacant properties and even if you do find an insurer, you may find the insurance cover is very limited or restrictive.
What cover is available?
Most insurers will only offer cover for Fire, Lightening, Earthquake and Explosion perils, however here at Coversure Insurance Huntingdon we can offer complete protection for empty properties including the following cover:
Storm, tempest and flood, escape of water and oil, theft or attempted theft, malicious intent, accidental breakage of fixed glass and double glazing, subsidence and property owners liability insurance.
Can I cover both my buildings and contents?
For unoccupied insurance we can cover either the buildings only (including outbuildings and garages) or buildings and contents of the property.
Do I have to have a yearly insurance policy?
Coversure Insurance Huntingdon is able to offer short term policies. We have insurance policies which can offer unoccupied buildings cover for 3 or 6 months or 12 months.
Can I pay by direct debit?
With some of our insurers we can offer unoccupied buildings cover with payment by direct debit without any interest charge. This is the most popular method of payment as you can normally cancel the insurance at any time without incurring a penalty charge - basically you just pay for the months of cover you have used.
How do I get a quote?
